Rain today beginning and ending as snow inland! Quite cool and dry Tuesday and Wednesday! Milder on Thursday with rain likely!


Skies are cloudy across the area early this Monday morning and temperatures are mainly in the low-mid 30s, there is some snow moving into inland areas, winds are much lighter than yesterday.

A low pressure system will be moving across the area today, precipitation should start as snow this morning and change to rain in all areas, no accumulation is expected in the Clifton area but inland an 1-2 inches are possible.  The rain may change back to snow before ending tonight as cold air moves in, a coating of snow is possible.

Rather chilly but dry Tuesday and Wednesday with early morning lows in the 20s, a freeze warning is in effect for areas that the growing season has started.

Another low pressure system will cause rain on Thursday with showers possibly persisting into Friday, milder on Thursday but cool again on Friday.

At this point the weekend looks dry with unseasonably cool temperatures.

 

THE FORECAST:

TODAY – Cloudy with rain developing beginning as snow high in the low 50s.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy with rain possibly changing to rain before ending, low in the mid 20s.

TUESDAY – Sunny, breezy and cool, high only around 40.

WEDNESDAY – Partly sunny, high near 50, rain likely developing at night.

THURSDAY – Cloudy with showers likely, high near 60.

FRIDAY – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, high near 50.

SATURDAY – Partly sunny, cool and breezy, high in the mid 40s.

SUNDAY – Mostly sunny, high near 50.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  Small craft advisory in effect till 6 p.m. on Tuesday for southwest winds becoming northwest gusting to 30 knots, seas building to 4-7 feet.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Tuesday night into Wednesday morning with advisories possible Wednesday afternoon through Friday.

    The snow we had yesterday was gone by 3pm … but now we have more snow today than we have had all winter combined … still have my snow-blower ready .. but absolutely no desire to use it .. feel sorry for all the spring bulbs in bloom… and all the birds that have begun nesting…
