High heat for the arrival of the summer solstice!


Summer arrives this evening at 7:09PM and the next two days we may have the hottest temperatures of the entire summer!

Today we will have sunny skies with highs in the upper 90s and it will be humid.

Tonight will be mostly clear with lows only dropping to the mid-70s.

Thursday may even be a couple of degrees warmer, sunny and humid with a high around 100!

A cold front will be crossing the area late Friday night, it will be mostly cloudy and continued humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, highs in the low 90s.

Saturday we will have mostly sunny skies and a high in the upper 80s.

Sunday, partly sunny with a chance of showers into the evening, highs in the lower 80s.

Looking well ahead into next week, look for at or below normal temperatures with no signs now of another heat wave…

Warmer air moving in, intense heat Wednesday and Thursday!


Lots of clouds in the area this morning as a warm front is moving through and despite the mostly cloudy conditions temperatures will rise into the low 80s with higher humidity.

Tonight will be partly to mostly cloudy and muggy with lows only dropping to near 70 degrees.

Intense heat tomorrow and Thursday with highs both days in the upper 90s with sunny skies.

Friday will still be hot with a high near 90 but a cold front will be crossing the area sometime late in the day and with this front there will be a chance of thunderstorms.

Saturday will be cooler with lower humidity and plenty of sunshine, highs in the mid 80s.

Sunday, increasing cloudiness, highs in the low 80s.

Sunday night into early Monday, cloudy with a chance of showers.

More clouds than were expected finally broke by yesterday afternoon, cloudy skies have returned overnight and should break later this morning, continued cooler than normal temperatures that may be a couple of degrees warmer than yesterday reaching the low 70s with a light onshore wind.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy and not as cool as the last couple of mornings with lows in the low 60s.

Tuesday the warmer air will start moving in from the west, still lots of clouds around with highs reaching the low 80s.

Wednesday and Thursday are going to be the hottest days of the week with highs in the mid 90s and it will also be quite humid.

Friday a cold front will be crossing the area with thunderstorms, depending on when the front comes through temperatures can still reach around 90 degrees.

The weekend at this point looks cooler with showers possible Sunday, highs mostly in the low 80s..

Pleasant Father’s Day!


After having a picture perfect weather on Saturday today will also be pleasant, little cool for swimming as highs will be only a bit above 70 degrees.  Skies will become mostly sunny after early cloudiness.

Tonight becoming cloudy again late at night with lows in the upper 50s..

Monday, early clouds then becoming mostly sunny, highs in the mid to upper 70s..

Tuesday the start of warmer and more humid conditions and despite being mostly cloudy highs will reach the mid 80s.

Wednesday and Thursday will be the peak of the heat wave with mostly sunny skies, humid with highs reaching the mid and upper 90s.

Cold front moves through on Friday with chance of showers and thunderstorms, highs in the upper 80s.

Next weekend at this point looks dry with plenty of sunshine and highs near 80.

Monday still comfortable and sunny, highs in the upper 70s.

Tuesday, partly sunny, warmer and more humid, highs climbing to the mid 80s.

Wednesday and Thursday will be the hottest days of the week, humid with mostly sunny skies, highs in the sultry low-mid 90s.

Friday a cold front will approach, still quite warm and humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high near 90..
