Cloudy and chilly weather with a little light rain for October 9th.


Clouds will hold tough today and temperatures will continue to be below normal, normal high for October 9th is in the upper 60s but today will be hard pressed to hit the 60 degree mark, occasional light rain will fall mostly this morning. Some light rain or drizzle possible Wednesday morning but it will not be as chilly as the last couple of mornings. A cold front will come through Wednesday evening. Sunny weather will return Thursday and should last most of the weekend, temperatures will be slightly below normal these days mainly in the low 60s for highs. Warming trend starting Sunday and present indications that this trend may last most of next week with highs in the more comfortable 70s..

Early sunshine followed by increasing clouds and light rain!


We are having a clear chilly morning as skies cleared overnight, however sunshine will be short lived today as another weak disturbance moves into the area causing cloudy conditions to develop by this afternoon with some light rain by evening.. Tomorrow the light rain should end by daybreak tomorrow but there is some indications that clouds and drizzle may occur throughout the day. Warmer on Wednesday ahead of a cold front that may cause more showers. Seasonably cool and dry on Thursday before another cold front approaches on Friday. Next weekend starts off cool but becoming milder on Sunday with a chance a showers.

Cool with rain this afternoon and evening!


The cold front came through around 4pm yesterday afternoon and we went from summer to fall in a couple of hours, 70s at 3pm to the 50s by 6pm. This morning we have a chilly start as temperatures are in the mid 40s, clouds are increasing and light rain will develop this afternoon and last into the evening, it will be quite chilly with highs only in the 50s. Clearing before daybreak tomorrow and it will be even a little cooler with readings getting down to around 40.
Milder by Wednesday then cool again Thursday through Saturday with a warming trend by the end of next weekend. No big storms in the long range forecast, mainly just some light showers with the cold front on Wednesday..

Big change to cooler weather!


Do all your outside stuff today because tomorrow temperatures will fall along with rain, while it will be in the 70s a good part of today, tomorrow will be hard pressed to reach the mid 50s..

Enjoy today’s warm day, big changes on the way!


We finally got rid of most of the clouds, humidity and fog and today will be a very pleasant and warm day, should be the last 80 degree day till next spring so enjoy. Tomorrow a cold front will come through in the afternoon, this front may be accompanied by a light shower, after the frontal passage much cooler air will move in.. Sunday will be a very chilly and raw day with afternoon rain, highs not getting out of the 50s. Chilly and dry early next week with some frost in the outer suburbs. A little milder by midweek but another surge of cool air will move into our area for later next week into the weekend.

Tonight – Mostly clear with a low around 60.
Saturday – Partly sunny with a chance of an afternoon and evening shower, highs in the mid 70s falling quickly to the upper 40s by Sunday morning.

More clouds, showers and humidity for your Thursday!


Yesterday we fell short of the anticipated high temperatures yesterday for the northern part of New Jersey as we only reached 71 degrees but southern New Jersey broke into sunshine with readings in the 80s. One thing that we did have was the humidity as dew points reached close to 70. We had a very heavy thunderstorm come through shortly after 10am, glad I finished my run 15 minutes before the downpour, we picked up a quick .56″ of rain in a little over an hour, otherwise all we had was some drizzle and cloudy skies all day.
Today an area of showers is across Eastern Pennsylvania and will move into our area by mid-day. The humidity and overcast conditions will remain most of the day. A weak cold front will be moving through tonight and Friday will be a little less humid but with plenty of sunshine temperatures will approach 80. A cold front on Saturday afternoon will be accompanied by a chance of showers, temperatures will be in the 70s dropping off after the cold front. Sunday looks like a very chilly with a chance of rain. Clearing with the coolest temperatures of the season early next week..

Foggy start to Hump Day!


Yesterday we had more rain than originally thought as overrunning rain ahead of a warm front caused more lift and heavier rain, although we had less than 1/2 inch of rain in Clifton places just to our north and west got over 2 inches of precipitation.
Today we start out foggy and with clouds lingering high temperatures today should stay below 80 degrees, however it will be quite humid along with a chance of showers.
Thursday a cool front will be coming through with another chance of showers. Looks like Friday will be the best day with more sunshine and warm temperatures. A cold front will be coming through the weekend with rain chances both Saturday and Sunday, near normal temperatures on Saturday will be replaced by much cooler readings on Sunday with highs not getting out of the 50s. Dry and quite cool weather for early next week.

The pleasant weather of yesterday will be replaced by cloudy skies, humidity will rise and there is a chance of sprinkles this morning and light rain by this afternoon and tonight. Wednesday will be quite humid for October and if there are enough breaks in the clouds temperatures will reach near 80 degrees with chances of showers and thunderstorms. Thursday will be less humid but with more sunshine readings will reach into the 80s. Still mild into the early part of the weekend but a cold front will be crossing the area Saturday night with much cooler weather for Sunday into early next week..

September averaged a little above normal in temperatures and slightly below normal in precipitation… It was the 20th straight month of above normal temperatures..

A sunny and mild day for the first day of October.!


Yesterday we had scattered showers around but most areas stayed dry with seasonable temperatures.. Today we will have a pleasant day to start October with sunny skies and temperatures a couple of degrees higher than yesterday after a chilly start this morning.
Increasing clouds tonight with rain chances increase on Tuesday. Warm and humid on Wednesday and it will feel more like summer. Thursday and Friday will be less humid but stay quite mild.. A strong cold front will be moving in this weekend with much cooler weather behind it that should last most of next week.
