The sun finally returns today!


A cold front moved to our east shortly after midnight and temperatures dropped from the very mild 50s at midnight to the mid 40s by 1am. Some showers this morning will move offshore and finally we will have clearing and will able to see the sun for the first time since Thursday. The rest of the week we will have mostly sunny days and mostly clear nights with temperatures not bad for mid- December in the mid 40s and even approaching 50 on Friday.
The next chance of precipitation will be late Saturday night into Sunday that may start as some snow or sleet well inland, highs in the 40s. The long range has seasonably cold weather after the 19th with snow chances around the 20th and again around the 23rd but of course that can change.

Tonight – Mostly clear, low in the low 30s.
Wednesday – Sunny, high in the mid 40s.
Thursday – Sunny, high in the upper 40s.
Friday – Sunny, high near 50.
Saturday – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 40s, chance of rain late at night.
Sunday – Mostly cloudy, chance of rain, high in the mid 40s.
Monday – Partly sunny after possible morning rain, high in the mid 40s.

Marine Forecast: Small craft advisory till noon today, northwest wind gusting to 25 knots seas up to 6 feet. Seas and winds diminishing this afternoon.
Outlook: Below advisory levels through Saturday but may be needed on Sunday.

Cloudy and warm Monday with showers!


It is a foggy start this morning with temperatures in the mild 40s, a warm front will be moving north of us this morning and readings will climb into the 60s despite overcast conditions and some rain. Showers will continue till around midnight as a cold front comes through tonight. The sun will finally appear tomorrow with cooler and drier air that should last most of the week with temperatures at or a bit above normal.

Tonight – Showers till around midnight, low in the low 40s.
Tuesday – Sunny, high in the upper 40s.
Wednesday – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 40s.

Outlook: Seas and winds will drop below advisory levels Tuesday afternoon and remain quiet through the end of this week.

More rain, more clouds but at least it is not cold!


Temperatures this morning are in the mild 40s in most areas but they should not rise too much as a front moved to our south and a disturbance coming in from the west will cause more overcast conditions with rain developing this afternoon and continuing into tonight. Not much clearing on Monday but a warm front will be moving north of us permitting a very mild southwest wind flow into our area causing temperatures to rise well up into the 60s. A cold front moving through Monday night will cause more showers from Monday afternoon into Tuesday morning followed by clearing and cooler weather for Tuesday. Wednesday through Saturday should be dry with temperatures a little above normal.

Today – Some fog this morning, cloudy with rain developing by mid afternoon, highs in the upper 40s.
Tonight: – Cloudy with rain, lows in the mid 40s.
Monday – Cloudy and quite mild with showers high in the mid 60s.

Milder weather today but with some rain this morning!


Temperatures this morning are several degrees warmer than the last two mornings with readings in the low 40s, we had some early morning rain that has ended. We will have clouds this morning but this afternoon some sun may appear with readings in the mild 50s. A little cooler on Sunday as a weak front moves to our south, this front will return north on Monday with very mild temperatures in the 60s but also showers likely as a cold front approaches, this front will cross the area early on Tuesday morning with showers ending with cooler temperatures. Dry weather with temperatures just above seasonable levels Wednesday through Friday.

Today – Showers this morning, some breaks in clouds this afternoon, high in the mid 50s.
Tonight – Mostly cloudy, low in the low 40s.
Sunday – Partly sunny in the morning, clouding up in the afternoon with a chance of rain into the night, high near 50.
Monday – Showers likely and quite mild, high in the low 60s
Tuesday – Chance of morning showers then becoming partly sunny, cooler, high in the upper 40s.
Wednesday through Friday – Mostly sunny each day with highs in the mid-upper 40s.

Marine Forecast: Today – Variable winds becoming west less than 10 knots, seas around 3 feet.
Outlook – Small craft advisories may be issued from Sunday night through early Tuesday, dropping below advisory levels late Tuesday through the end of next week.

Returned from Jamaica last night, 80s felt a lot better than the 42 degrees when we landed but it could of been worse. Much easier to do this blog typing with two hands again instead of one when using my Kindle.

Clouds and light rain moving in for Friday.


It is starting out chilly this morning with readings around 30 to the upper 20s inland. It will become cloudy with light rain moving around noon that may start as sleet inland, highs will reach the mid 40s. Light rain will continue tonight with temps. remaining steady or rising a bit overnight as a warm front moves through. Cloudy but quite mild in Saturday with showers most likely in the morning, highs in the 50s. A cold front will drop south of us on Sunday with continued mostly cloudy skies and a chance of rain especially in the afternoon and night. The font will return as a warm front on Monday and temps. Will reach into the 60s still a chance of showers as a stronger cold front moves through at night, these showers may linger into Tuesday followed by clearing and cool weather that should persist through at least Thursday.
