Dry weather continues this week with a warming trend!


Cool and mostly clear this morning overnight lows fell to around 50 degrees in the Clifton area with 40s inland.
Today we will have mostly sunny skies temperatures may be a touch milder than yesterday with highs in the low to some mid 70s.
A warming trend will start tomorrow and extend into the weekend with the warmest day of the week being Wednesday with temperatures rising to the mid 80s which is about 15 degrees warmer than normal.
A cold front will be approaching the area on Saturday with the best chance of showers should be on Sunday. Temperatures on the weekend will continue to be quite mild.

Early morning temperatures under mostly clear skies are in the low 50s in the Clifton area with the 40s reported further inland.
High pressure over the area will give us another nice day to close the weekend with mostly sunny conditions and high temperatures similar to yesterday rising to the low 70s.
Fair weather will continue into Monday as the storm system we have talked about the last few days will remain well out in the Atlantic..
Warming trend starting Tuesday and last the rest of the week with Wednesday being the warmest day when temperatures are expected to rise to the low 80s.
The next chance of rain will be around next weekend as a cold front will be approaching the area followed by cooler weather..

Today with high pressure building down we will have less clouds than on Friday with temperatures a couple of degrees higher reaching the low 70s.
Same nice weather for Sunday with plenty of sunshine.
The storm system that we have been watching for early next week should stay far enough offshore and will only cause some cloudiness to our coastal areas, most of the area will remain mostly fair.
Warming trend Tuesday through Friday with sunny days and clear nights, high temperatures each day will be around the 80 degree mark.

With partly cloudy skies temperatures this morning just before sunrise are in the low 50s in the Clifton area to some 40s in the normal cooler inland areas.
Today with a light onshore flow and considerable clouds temperatures will rise to the low 70s, similar to yesterday and near normal for this time of year.
Fantastic weekend weather coming up with plenty of sunshine and highs again in the low 70s.
The only fly in the ointment for early next week is the low pressure that will be moving off the coast on Monday, clouds and precipitation should remain offshore.
After that a warming trend for the middle of next week with temperatures possibly reaching 80 degrees by Wednesday along with mostly fair conditions.

Today we will have a little more clouds and temperatures may be a couple of degrees cooler than on Wednesday.
Fine late September weather should extend into early October with no rain in the forecast through at least the end of next week. High temperatures will be in the low 70s Friday through the weekend and then rise into the mid 70s for most of next week. Overnight lows will be mainly in the comfortable 50s..

With clear skies temperatures in the Clifton area are in the upper 40s, a few degrees higher than yesterday morning but there are some 30s in the colder inland spots once again.
Another nice day today with sunny skies and temperatures similar to yesterday reaching the mid 70s.
Dry weather to continue through the weekend with near normal temperatures, nighttime lows will be a higher than the last few days mainly in the 50s and highs in the low to mid 70s.
The storm system that I talked about yesterday should stay far enough offshore to only give us a low chance of showers on Monday.
As we look further ahead it appears that the first few days of October will be pleasant with temperatures a little above normal..

Milder Tuesday after a chilly start!


Temperatures this morning under clear skies and calm winds have fallen to the lowest level since last May with readings in the low 40s in the Clifton area with 30s inland. Current 6am temperature at Walpack in Sussex County is only 31 degrees.
With the high pressure over the area will give us abundant sunshine, temperatures will rise a couple of degrees higher than yesterday, mostly in the low 70s.
Pleasant and dry weather will continue the rest of the week and weekend with highs in the 70s and overnight lows mostly in the 50s.
Beginning early next week the European model (ECMWF) is indicating a possible coastal or even tropical storm right off our coast on Monday while the American model shows the system moving well out to sea so that is something to watch as we end September.
