Skies are mostly clear early on this Friday morning and temperatures in most areas are the coldest since the middle of February ranging from the mid teens in the Clifton area to some single digits further inland, winds are light.

Today we will have sunshine most of the day but with some increasing cloudiness by late in the afternoon, temperatures will be quite cold again with highs mostly in the 20s but the wind will be much less than what occurred yesterday.  High pressure will be moving off the coast.

Low pressure will develop and move to the Great Lakes on Saturday with a warm front approaching from the southwest, snow should develop around midnight tonight and continue Saturday morning before mixing with sleet and freezing rain and then to all rain in the afternoon, accumulations of 2-4 inches is likely in the Clifton area before the changeover with 4-6 inches possible further inland where there may also be a prolonged period of freezing rain.

There may be a lull in the precipitation Saturday night but a cold front approaching from the west will cause showers on Sunday along with temperatures rising into the 50s, after the frontal passage temperatures will fall into the low 20s by Monday morning.

Mainly dry Monday through Wednesday, temperatures will be below normal on Monday, near normal on Tuesday and above normal readings by Wednesday.

Mild with a chance of rain on Thursday.

We have  partly cloudy skies early on this Thursday morning and temperatures have dropped to the mid 20s here in Clifton to some upper teens further inland, west winds are gusting to 25 mph making it feel even colder.

Today will be windy and very cold with a chance of some snow flurries  as Arctic high pressure builds into the area, temperatures will not rise much from the morning lows mainly remaining in the 20s.  A secondary cold front will cause even colder weather overnight along with strong gusty winds with some gusts over 50 mph, a high wind warning is in effect.

Friday will be very cold again but with diminishing winds by late morning.

A low pressure system will cause snow before daybreak on Saturday which will accumulate 3-4 inches before mixing with sleet and freezing rain and then to change to all rain by Saturday afternoon.

Sunday will be quite mild with highs in the 50s along with showers.

A cold front will cross the area on Sunday night bringing in colder air for early next week but not as frigid as we will experience over the next couple off days.

It appears now that above normal temperatures are likely from Wednesday of next week through the Christmas holiday weekend.

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures are seasonably cool ranging from the low 30s in the Clifton area to the mid 20s further inland, winds are nearly calm.

Today will be a quiet weather day with mostly sunny skies and near seasonable temperatures reaching the low 40s in most places, winds will be light this morning but increase this afternoon.

An Arctic cold front will cross the area tonight possibly accompanied by some snow showers.  After the frontal passage winds will increase from the northwest and much colder air will move into the area, temperatures should drop to the teens by tomorrow morning and only rise to the mid 20s during the day and with winds gusting to more than 35 mph will help bring wind chill values to around zero or below.

Still very cold with dry conditions on Friday but with the high pressure over us winds will be much lighter.

A low pressure system will affect our area over the weekend with snow likely developing before dawn on Saturday and continue Saturday morning before mixing with and changing to rain in the afternoon, possible accumulations 1-3 inches in the Clifton area with 2-5 inches further inland.

Rain is likely for Sunday along with milder temperatures.

Cold air returns for early next week but not as frigid as what we will experience this Thursday and Friday, skies will be mostly fair.

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures range from the low 30s here in the Clifton area to some low 20s further inland, winds are nearly calm and there is some heavy frost in some areas.

Today we should see an increase in clouds as a weak high pressure moves through the area, there is a slight chance of some flurries tonight.

Tomorrow should be dry with seasonably cool temperatures ahead of an Arctic cold front that will push through the area on Wednesday night.

Thursday and Friday will be downright frigid with high temperatures only in the 20s with widespread low temperatures in the single digits, it will be quite windy on Thursday with some snow showers, diminishing winds on Friday.

A low pressure system is expected to move into the area on Saturday with a period of snow which will change to freezing rain and then to all rain by the afternoon, temperatures will rise into the 40s by Saturday evening.  Sunday will be quite mild with some highs in the 50s along with some rain showers.

A cold front will cross the area Sunday night with a return to seasonably cold conditions for Monday.

Rain is falling in the Clifton area early on this Monday morning and the temperature in Clifton is 33 degrees, readings at or just below freezing further inland where freezing rain is occurring, be careful going out early as untreated roads and sidewalks may be slick, winds are light.

A warm front associated with a low moving through the Great Lakes will move to our north causing temperatures by later this morning to rise well above freezing, most of the rain will end this afternoon as a cold front crosses our area.

Mainly dry with seasonable temperatures Tuesday and Wednesday as a weak high pressure moves into the area.

A strong cold front will cross the area on Wednesday night.

Frigid and windy weather with occasional snow flurries both Thursday and Friday, daytime highs will only be in the 20s with lows mainly in the single digits and with strong winds will cause wind chill values to drop below zero.

Another low pressure system will affect our area on the weekend giving a chance of snow Saturday morning changing to rain Saturday afternoon and rain continuing into Sunday.

Looking ahead to next week it appears that there will be a mild pattern setting up and at this point the chances of a White Christmas are rather low.
