Skies are mostly clear early on this Friday morning and temperatures range from the low 30s in Clifton down to the upper teens further inland, winds are mainly calm.

NOTE: On this day last year we received over 6 inches of snow most of it during the evening commute which caused massive traffic delays.

High pressure will move through the area and off the coast with a westerly flow of milder air, temperatures will reach the low 50s which is near normal for this time of year, skies will be mostly sunny with light winds.

A cold front will cross the area and a cold high pressure will move into the area. Saturday will be quite cold with a brisk northwest wind. Sunday will only be slightly milder but with much less wind.

A low pressure area will move up the coast on Monday which will give us a chance of rain, temperatures will be cool.

Dry weather is then expected Tuesday through Thursday with temperatures slightly below normal.

High pressure over us this morning will move offshore and we should have a light southerly flow of somewhat milder air into our area, temperatures in the 40s is still about 10 degrees below normal.

Friday will be a little milder but a cold front will cross the area during the day but will come through dry with only a few clouds.

Colder again on the weekend but it will not be as harsh what we experienced the last couple of days. It will remain dry.

More normal temperatures into next week with only a low chance of some light rain Monday morning.

Skies are clear early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures are the coldest of the season so far with readings ranging from around 20 in Clifton down to a chilly 11 degrees at High Point, winds are a little gusty out of the northwest. Some record low temperatures have occurred in some areas.

High pressure over the midwest will move east providing us with sunshine but it will be cold with highs only in the 30s, gusty winds will diminish this afternoon.

After a chilly Thursday morning it will become slightly milder in the afternoon as high pressure moves through the area and off the coast by Thursday night.

Friday will again be a little milder, a weak cold front will cross the area at night but no precipitation is expected.

The weekend will be dry and cold but not as cold as today.

Milder early next week but with a chance of some rain.

A strong cold front will be moving through our area this morning accompanied by some light rain, as the front moves to our east the rain may change to snow before ending around noon! No accumulation is expected in Clifton but a dusting may accumulate to our north and west. Temperatures in the low 50s now will drop to the low 30s by sunset along with strong northwest winds.

Tomorrow will be frigid with early morning temperatures falling into the teens with some record lows possible. During the day the highs will struggle to reach the mid 30s despite plenty of sunshine. With gusty winds it will feel even colder.

Sunny and still rather cold on Thursday but with much less wind.

Dry weather should persist Friday through the weekend, temperatures will be mild on Friday but colder air will move in for the weekend but not as cold as what we will experience later today and on Wednesday.

A frontal system may give us some precipitation early next week.

Today will be a partly sunny and mild day ahead of a strong cold front approaching from the west, high temperatures will approach the 60 degree mark.

The cold front will cross the area Tuesday morning with rain developing around daybreak and mixing and changing to snow before ending early in the afternoon. A dusting of less than an inch is possible in our area but an inch or two may accumulate in the higher elevations to our north and west. Temperatures will be in the 50s overnight and fall to the 30s by sunset.

An Arctic blast will likely give us the coldest air of the season on Wednesday with lows in the teens and highs struggling to reach the freezing mark, gusty winds will make it feel colder despite plenty of sunshine.

Dry weather with slowly moderating temperatures Thursday and Friday.

A cold front should cross the area Friday night with no precipitation expected and will be followed by colder air for the weekend but not nearly as cold as the middle of this week.
