After our cold and wintery weather of this weekend, today will be the start of some very enjoyable spring like weather that should continue through at least this week. High pressure offshore today will give us a southwest flow of milder air. Skies will start off cloudy but become mostly sunny during the day. High temperatures will be about 20 degrees higher than yesterday with readings well up into the 50s.

Dry and even milder weather Tuesday and Wednesday as high pressure dominates, highs both days should rise into the 60s.

Slightly cooler on Thursday as a weak low moves offshore to the south and east that will also give us a low chance of light showers.

High pressure will then build into the region on Friday and with sunny skies highs will be near 70.

Mild weather will continue over the weekend with a good chance of showers on Saturday.

The storm that gave us the snow and wind yesterday has moved to the Canadian Maritime region as high pressure builds from the southwest. Today will start off mostly clear but we should see some increase in clouds this afternoon. It will be chilly with highs only in the 30s, winds will slowly diminish by late this afternoon.

Much milder air will move into our area on Monday as high pressure builds closer to our area and with sunshine and light winds high temperatures will reach the mid 50s.

Mainly dry and mild the rest of the week. There is a slight chance of rain on Thursday as a weak low moves offshore well to our south. A better chance of rain will be on Saturday as a frontal system moves into our area.

A strong winter storm will affect our area today! Rain developing around sunrise and as much colder air arrives the rain will change to snow by noon and continue heavy at times this afternoon and with winds gusting to over 40 mph we may have blizzard like conditions briefly this afternoon. The snow should end by sunset with 1-3 inches expected with higher amounts to our north and west. Temperatures in the 40s this morning will plummet to the low 20s by sunset causing a flash freeze. A winter weather advisory along with a wind advisory is in effect.

Sunday will be a chilly day despite sunny skies, gusty winds in the morning will slowly diminsh in the afternoon as the storm moves to the Canadian Maritimes and high pressure build from the west.

After winter like weather this weekend next week looks to be mainly dry with above normal temperatures.
