Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 50 in Clifton down to 45 at High Point and Vernon. Winds are mainly calm or light northerly.

Today will be dry and with mostly sunny skies, it will be milder than yesterday with highs in the 60s, winds will be light.

A frontal system will give us showers and possibly a thunderstorm mainly Wednesday morning; temperatures will continue to be seasonably mild.

Thursday looks to be the best weather day of the week with plenty of sunshine and mild temperatures with highs in the 70s.

Another frontal system will give us a chance of showers Friday into Saturday along with cooler temeperatures.

Mother’s Day looks to be dry and seasonably cool.

Looking further ahead it now appears that we will have consistently mild to warm temperatures much of next week with highs each day mostly in the 70s.

THURSDAY – MAY 5 – Mostly sunny, high in the low 70s.

FRIDAY – MAY 6 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, high in the low 60s.

SATURDAY – MAY 7 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, cool with highs only in the upper 50s.

SUNDAY – MAY 8 – Mostly sunny, high in the low 60s.

MONDAY – MAY 9 – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 60s.
