Sunny and cool today after a frosty morning! Sunny and not as cool on Friday! Finally a completely dry weekend can be expected with mild temperatures! Continued mild through the middle of next week with a low chance of showers Monday night through Wednesday!

With clear skies and mainly calm winds, temperatures have fallen to below freezing over much of the area and by far it is the coldest morning of the season so far. Readings range from 31 in Clifton down to 22 at Walpack. The air quality is good with an index of 30.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR NOVEMBER 2ND:

Strong high pressure will be over us today and we will have sunny skies with light winds, high temperature will struggle to reach the 50 degree mark.

As the high pressure moves offshore a return southwest flow will cause temperatures to be a little milder after another frosty early morning.

Finally a dry weekend can be expected as the high pressure continues to control our weather, temperatures will be above normal with highs in the 60s both days.

Still mild into the middle of next week, but a couple of disturbances will give us a low chance of showers Monday night into Wednesday.

TODAY – NOV 2 – Sunny with light winds, highs near 50.

TONIGHT – Clear, lows in the low 30s.

FRIDAY – NOV 3 – Sunny, highs in the upper 50s.

SATURDAY – NOV 4 – Partly sunny, highs in the low 60s.

SUNDAY – NOV 5 – Partly sunny, highs in the mid 60s.

MONDAY – NOV 6 – Partly sunny, highs in the mid 60s, chance of rain at night.

TUESDAY – NOV 7 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain, highs in the mid 60s.

WEDNESDAY – NOV 8 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain, highs in the upper 50s.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – Variable winds less than 5 knots, seas 1-2 feet.

OUTLOOK: No advisories expected Friday through Monday.

CLIFTON’S CLIMATE SUMMARY FOR OCTOBER 2023:

The average temperature was 59.5 degrees and was 4.8 degrees above the 50 year average, also it was the 4th warmest October since 1973. The warmest temperature was 88 degrees on the 4th and the lowest was a rather mild 41 degrees set on the 24th and the 31st. Precipitation totaled 5.17″ and was slightly above normal, the most rain was on the 4th with 2.12″ accumulating.
