Becoming partly sunny, breezy and quite mild today after early morning showers! Mostly sunny and much cooler on Wednesday! Chance of showers Wednesday night through Friday! Dry and chilly weather expected for the weekend!

Light rain is falling over much of the area early on this Tuesday morning and it is mild with temperatures ranging from 51 in Clifton down to 47 at Hackettstown. Winds are light from the southwest. The air quality is moderate with an index of 55.

Showers should fall until around daybreak this morning as a warm front moves through the area. The front will be followed by a brisk west-southwest flow of quite mild air. Skies will become partly to mostly sunny by late this morning. A cold front will come through dry this evening.

Much cooler but with mostly sunny skies on Wednesday as high pressure builds from eastern Canada.

Unsettled weather with a chance of rain late Wednesday night through Friday however much of the rain, if it occurs, will be light and the precipitation probably at this time is less than 50%

High pressure promises to give us a dry but chilly weekend with mostly sunny skies both days.

The cool and dry weather should continue early next week but there are indications of warmer weather towards the end of next week.

TONIGHT – Mostly clear, low in the upper 30s.

WEDNESDAY – NOV 8 – Mostly sunny and cooler, highs in the low 50s, chance of rain after 10 p.m.,

THURSDAY – NOV 9 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain, highs in the low 60s.

FRIDAY – NOV 10 – Chance of showers in the morning, mostly cloudy, highs in the mid 50s.

VETERANS DAY – NOV 11 – Sunny, highs in the low 50s.

SUNDAY – NOV 12 – Mostly sunny, highs near 50.

MONDAY – NOV 13 – Mostly sunny, highs only in the upper 40s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 1 p.m. this afternoon for southwest winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 3-5 feet.

OUTLOOK: No advisories expected Tuesday night through Wednesday night; possible advisories during the day on Thursday; no advisories expected Thursday night through Saturday.
