Weak high pressure will give us a very nice Easter Sunday with plenty of sunshine, lighter winds and mild temperatures with highs near 60.

A low pressure area along a stationary front to our south will give us rain mainly from around 5 a.m. Monday morning through 2 p.m. Monday afternoon. High temperatures will be lower with readings around 50.

After a brief break in the rain Monday afternoon and night a stronger low pressure area will give us rain possibly heavy from before dawn on Tuesday through Wednesday night. Highs both days will only be in the 40s.

The low pressure will then move offshore but there still may be some showers on Thursday.

Dry weather expected on Friday but it will be breezy with cool temperatures continuing.

At this point the weekend looks to be dry with moderating temperatures that should extend into next Monday providing excellent weather for the solar eclipse.

The storm that gave us the rain yesterday is moving well east of Cape Cod and will move to the Canadian Maritime region today as high pressure builds from the west. Mainly dry weather for the weekend except for a chance of light rain Saturday night as a weak disturbance moves through the area. Easter Sunday may be the best weather day with light winds, plenty of sunshine and mild temperatures with highs near 60.

Unsettled weather returns for Monday through Wednesday with periods of rain likely. High temperatures will be a little below normal and overnight lows will be a little above normal.

We should clear out on Thursday but it will be breezy.

Looking further ahead the computer models are indicating a warming trend starting Friday and last through early the following week. At this time the weather looks good for the solar eclipse on the 8th with mostly fair skies and mild temperatures.
