Skies are cloudy early on this Sunday morning and temperatures range from 39 in Clifton down to 33 at High Point. Winds are from the north averaging 5-10 mph. The air quality is good with an index of 33.

The low pressure system that gave us unseasonably cold air along with rain and drizzle with even some morning snow is moving off the New England coast as high pressure builds from the west. Skies will remain mostly cloudy and the best chance of sunshine will be later this afternoon. Winds will be a little gusty out of the north-northwest. High temperatures will reach the upper 50s which will be almost 20 degrees warmer than yesterday.

Milder on Monday as high pressure moves through the area but a cold front will cross the area early Tuesday morning accompanied by some showers.

Tuesday will continue to be mild but another cold front is expected to cross the area late in the day.

Dry and cooler weather is expected Wednesday into Thursday as high pressure builds over the area.

Milder Friday into next weekend but a frontal system may touch of some showers Friday night into Saturday.

THURSDAY – APR 17 – Sunny and breezy, highs in the upper 50s.

FRIDAY – APR 18 – Partly sunny, highs in the mid 60s, chance of showers at night.

SATURDAY – APR 19 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, highs near 70.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. this evening for north-northwest winds gusting to 25 knots, seas 6-9 feet.
