Skies are mostly clear early on this Sunday morning and temperatures are much cooler than the last few mornings, but actually near normal with readings ranging from 46 in Clifton down to 38 at High Point. Winds are gusty out of northwest. The air quality is good with an index of 31.

Today will be cooler and much less humid along with a northwest wind that may gust to 40 mph at times. Dew points that were in the 60s yesterday have fallen to the 30s today. Skies should be partly sunny. Low pressure off the New England coast as high pressure builds from the Great Lakes.

The high pressure will move over us on Monday then offshore on Tuesday giving us milder weather along with much less wind. Skies both days will be mostly sunny.

A cold front will come through dry on Wednesday and we should have mostly sunny skies and temperatures will continue to be mild.

High pressure will give us a dry and slightly cooler day on Thursday but a frontal system will likely give us showers and thunderstorms Thursday night into Friday.

At this point next weekend looks dry with near normal temperatures.

TUESDAY – APR 29 – Mostly sunny and warm, highs in the low 80s.

WEDNESDAY – APR 30 – Mostly sunny, highs in the upper 70s.

THURSDAY – MAY 1 – Partly sunny, highs in the upper 60s, chance of showers at night.

FRIDAY – MAY 2 – Mostly cloudy with showers likely and possibly some thunderstorms, milder, highs in the upper 70s.

SATURDAY – MAY 3 – Mostly sunny, highs near 70.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. this evening for northwest winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 3-6 feet.
