Skies are mostly clear early on this Thursday morning and temperatures are nearly 20 degrees cooler than this time yesterday with readings ranging from 48 in Clifton down to 36 at Sandyston. Winds are mainly calm. The air quality is good with an index of 25.

Today will be a pleasantly mild day with plenty of sunshine, light winds and seasonably mild temperatures. A warm front will move through the area late tonight possibly accompanied by some showers and thunderstorms.

Friday will be quite warm and humid and there may be some afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms. Skies during the day will be partly sunny.

Saturday will still be warm as a slow moving cold front moves through our area, showers will be likely with possibly some thunderstorms.

Now it looks like we will have an extended period of wet weather Sunday through much of next week as a upper level low pressure will be over our area. Daytime highs will be near normal through this period but overnight lows look to remain above normal.

TONIGHT – Increasing cloudiness with a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11 p.m., lows in the upper 50s.

FRIDAY – MAY 2 – Partly sunny, warmer and more humid with a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms, highs in the low 80s.

SATURDAY – MAY 3 – Partly sunny, warm and humid with showers likely and possibly some thunderstorms, highs near 80.

SUNDAY – MAY 4 – Mostly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms likely, highs near 70.

MONDAY – MAY 5 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, highs in the mid 60s.

TUESDAY – MAY 6 – Mostly cloudy with showers likely, highs in the upper 60s.

WEDNESDAY – MAY 7 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers, highs in the low 70s.
