Cloudy and cool today with showers and possibly some thunderstorms! Sunny, breezy and not as cool on Saturday! Very nice weather for Mother’s Day! Dry and quite mild Monday and Tuesday! Still mild but with a chance of showers Wednesday and Thursday!

Skies are cloudy and rain is approaching our area from the west. Temperatures range from 55 in Clifton down to 46 at High Point. Winds are mainly from the north averaging 5-10 mph. The air quality is good with an index of 29.

Low pressure over our area will give us a cloudy and cool day with rain possibly heavy at times today with some thunderstorms. Rainfall amounts will be between 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch.

High pressure will then build into our area for the weekend. Saturday will be mostly sunny, breezy and not as cool. Mother’s Day will be sunny and quite mild.

The high pressure will still dominate our weather Monday and Tuesday with continued quite mild temperatures and with sunny skies both days.

A disturbance moving up from the south towards our area will give us a chance of showers Wednesday and Thursday. Temperatures will continue to be above normal.

TUESDAY – MAY 13 – Partly sunny, highs in the upper 70s.

WEDNESDAY – MAY 14 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, highs in the low 70s.

THURSDAY – MAY 15 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers, highs in the upper 70s.

OUTLOOK: A small craft advisory has been issued effective between 10 p.m. tonight through 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon; no advisories expected Saturday night through Tuesday.
