Partly sunny, breezy and cool today with a chance of isolated showers! Partly sunny, breezy and not as cool on Sunday! Mostly sunny and milder on Memorial Day! Dry with near normal temperatures on Tuesday! Chance of showers Wednesday through Friday!

Good morning everyone!

Skies are mostly clear early on this Saturday morning and once again it is cooler than normal with temperatures ranging from 46 in Clifton down to 40 at High Point. Winds are calm or light westerly. The air quality is good with an index of 21.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR MAY 24TH:

AVERAGE HIGH: 73 AVERAGE LOW: 54

RECORD HIGH: 93 – 1975 RECORD LOW: 40 – 1992

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 64 LOW: 46 PRECIPITATION: .23″

Low pressure off the Maine coast as high pressure builds from the upper plains states will give us a brisk westerly flow of cool air. Skies will start off mostly sunny but we should see more clouds in the afternoon with a chance of isolated showers.

Not as cool on Sunday as the low pressure moves further away and high pressure builds closer to our area. Again skies will start off mostly sunny then become mostly cloudy in the afternoon with only a slight chance of a shower.

Memorial Day will be quite nice with plenty of sunshine and near normal temperatures as the high pressure builds into our area.

Tuesday will be dry with again near normal temperatures as the high pressure will be over our area.

A weak disturbance may touch off some showers Wednesday through Friday. Wednesday will be cooler with an onshore flow but we should have warmer weather by Friday that should extend into next weekend.
