The low pressure system that has been giving us the wind and some showers is weakening and moving further off the New England coast as high pressure builds from the northwest. Today will be pleasantly mild and most of the time it will be mostly sunny but some clouds may build in the afternoon with only a slight chance of some sprinkles mainly over inland areas.
The high pressure will then move closer to us on Memorial Day and we will have mostly sunny skies with near normal temperatures.
Tuesday we will have an increase in clouds as the high moves offshore and a disturbance to our west approaches our area. Temperatures will continue to be seasonable mild.
A series of disturbances will give our area a chance of showers Wednesday through next weekend. Temperatures will be a bit below normal Wednesday and Thursday then become milder Friday through next weekend and also becoming more humid.
