Good morning everyone and Happy First Day of Meteorological Summer!

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Sunday morning and it is quite cool with temperatures ranging from 47 in Clifton down to 44 at Wantage. Winds are mainly from the west averaging 5-10 mph. The air quality is good with an index of 26.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR JUNE 1ST:

The storm that gave us the rain and some damaging winds along with the lowest pressure so late in the season at (29.12″) has moved off the Maine coast as high pressure builds in from the west. Today will be a breezy and cool day with most highs in the upper 60s.

The high pressure will build closer to us on Monday giving us another mostly sunny day with milder temperatures and less wind.

The high will move off the coast and a return southwesterly flow of very warm air Tuesday through Thursday along with mostly sunny skies each day. Temperatures will rise to near 90 Wednesday and Thursday.

Not quite as warm but still well above normal Friday into the start of next weekend and there will be a chance of showers as a cold front moves slowly through our area.
