Mostly sunny, warm and much less humid today! (Summer begins at 10:42PM tonight)! Finally a dry weekend is expected with quite warm to hot temperatures! Record breaking heat likely Monday and Tuesday! Less hot Wednesday and Thursday with a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms!

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Friday morning and temperatures range from 66 in Clifton down to 59 at High Point. The humidity is lower than the last few days with dew points in the more comfortable 50s. Winds are a little gusty out of the west-northwest. The air quality is good with an index of 36.

After having some precipitation the last six days in a row today will be dry and seasonably warm with more comfortable humidity and mostly sunny skies as high pressure builds into our area. Summer begins at 10:42 p.m. tonight.

High pressure will continue to give us dry weather this weekend with an increase in temperatures. Highs will be near 90 on Saturday and then rise to the upper 90s for Sunday.

Record breaking heat is likely Monday and Tuesday as the high pressure ridge will be over us. Plenty of sunshine both days with an increase in humidity. High temperatures both days will be near 100 degrees.

High pressure will then weaken Wednesday and Thursday and it will become less hot but staying humid with a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms both days.

TONIGHT – Partly cloudy, lows in the upper 60s.

TUESDAY – JUNE 24 – Sunny and very hot, highs near 100.

WEDNESDAY – JUNE 25 – Mostly sunny with a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms, highs in the mid 90s.

THURSDAY – JUNE 26 – Partly sunny with a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms, highs in the upper 80s.
