Skies are partly cloudy early on this Sunday morning and temperatures are quite warm with readings ranging from 74 in Clifton down to 63 at Sandyston. Winds are calm or light southwesterly. The air quality is moderate with an index of 61.

A complex of thunderstorms across northern New York state will move south but weaken by the time it reaches our area. Some clouds this morning with a slight chance of a shower. Skies will become mostly sunny this afternoon and it will be quite hot with highs well up into the 90’s.
Monday and Tuesday will have plenty of sunshine along with record breaking heat as the high pressure dome will be over us. Temperatures will rise to near 100 both days with heat indexes up to 110. An extreme heat warning is in effect.
Wednesday will still be very hot but highs will be a couple of degrees lower than Monday and Tuesday. Also there will be a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms.
Unsettled weather with lower temperatures Thursday through next weekend with a chance of showers and thunderstorms each day.
