Skies are cloudy early on this Friday morning and there are some isolated showers in parts of our area. Temperatures are much lower than this time yesterday with readings ranging from 63 in Clifton down to 54 at High Point. Winds are light from the northeast. The air quality is good with an index of 48.

Today will be a mostly cloudy to cloudy day with below normal temperatures as we will have an onshore flow of marine air.

A warm front will move to our north Saturday morning preceded and accompanied by some showers and thunderstorms. Skies will be mostly cloudy to cloudy in the morning but become mostly sunny in the afternoon and it will become warmer and more humid. A cold front will cross the area in the evening with more showers likely and possibly some heavy thunderstorms.

Sunday will be a warm and less humid day with plenty of sunshine!

Quite warm and humid again on Monday with a chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Showers are likely on Tuesday and possibly some thunderstorms as a cold front moves through the area.

The rest of the week looks to be dry with slightly above normal temperatures as high pressure builds into the area.

SATURDAY – JUNE 28 – Mostly cloudy in the morning with showers likely then partly to mostly sunny in the afternoon with showers and thunderstorms likely, warmer and more humid, highs in the upper 80s.

SUNDAY – JUNE 29 – Mostly sunny and less humid, highs in the upper 80s.

MONDAY – JUNE 30 – Partly sunny with a chance of afternoon and nighttime showers and thunderstorms, humid with highs in the low 90s.

TUESDAY – JULY 1 – Mostly cloudy with showers likely and a chance of thunderstorms, humid with highs in the upper 80s.

WEDNESDAY – JULY 2 – Sunny, quite warm but less humid, highs near 90.

THURSDAY – JULY 3 – Mostly sunny, highs near 90.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. this evening for easterly winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 3-5 feet. Belmar’s ocean temperature is 73 degrees.

OUTLOOK: No advisories expected Saturday through Tuesday.
