Skies are mainly cloudy early on this Sunday morning and there are some scattered showers falling mainly just to our south. Temperatures range from 72 in Clifton down to 63 at High Point. Winds are light mainly from the southwest. The air quality is 104 which is unhealthy for sensitive groups.

A warm front moving slowly into our area will give us mostly cloudy skies and it will become more humid with showers likely and possibly some thunderstorms, some rain may be heavy at times. With more clouds the high temperature today will be in the low-mid 80s.
Another heatwave is expected Monday through Wednesday as high pressure builds into our area. High temperatures all three days will be in the mid-upper 90s and with dew points near 70 the heat indexes will rise to near 105 degrees. A cold front approaching our area will give us a chance of showers and thunderstorms late Wednesday night.
The front will slowly move through the area on Thursday with cooler temperatures but a good chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Dry with cooler temperatures and much less humidity Friday through next weekend.

THURSDAY – JULY 31 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, not as warm, highs in the mid 80s.
FRIDAY – AUG 1 – Mostly sunny, cooler and much less humid, highs near 80.
