Skies are mainly clear early on this Friday morning but there is some fog in some of the inland areas. Temperatures are cool with readings ranging from 57 in Clifton down to 48 at Sandyston. Winds are calm or light northerly. The air quality is good with an index of 31.

Hurricane Erin is moving well off the Atlantic Coast as high pressure builds from the west. Today will be a sunny and warmer day with comfortable humidity and much lighter winds.
Another pleasantly warm day on Saturday with plenty of sunshine as the high pressure is over the area. The humidity will stay low.
As the high pressure moves offshore a frontal system will approach our area on Sunday. Temperatures will be warm with an increase in humidity and there will be a chance of showers in the afternoon.
Showers are likely Sunday night into Monday as the front moves through the area.
Very nice weather for Tuesday through Thursday with plenty of sunshine each day, seasonably cool temperatures and low humidity as high pressure builds from the west.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 11 a.m. Saturday morning for northerly winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 7-10 feet. There continues to be a high risk of dangerous rip currents. Belmar’s ocean temperature is 75 degrees.
OUTLOOK: No advisories expected Sunday through Tuesday.
