Another sunny and comfortably warm day today! Partly sunny and more humid on Sunday with showers likely at night into Monday! Dry and comfortably cool Tuesday through the end of next week!

Skies are mainly clear early on this Saturday morning and temperatures range from 65 in Clifton down to a cool 52 at Sandyston, Hackettstown and Pequest. Winds are calm or light southwesterly. The air quality is moderate with an index of 52.

High pressure over our area this morning will move offshore as a southerly flow develops. Today will be another sunny day with pleasantly warm temperatures and continued low humidity.

A frontal system approaching the area on Sunday. During the day it should remain dry but showers will be likely Sunday night along with a slight increase in humidity.

The front will slowly move through our area on Monday with showers likely in the early morning and still a chance of showers during the day. Temperatures will be seasonably warm.

Nice fall like weather the rest of next week as a polar high pressure builds into our area. Most high temperatures will be in the upper 70s to near 80 and overnight lows mostly in the comfortable 50s.

TODAY – AUG 23 – Sunny and becoming breezy in the late afternoon, highs in the mid 80s.

TONIGHT – Mostly clear and breezy, lows in the mid 60s.

SUNDAY – AUG 24 – Partly sunny and breezy, highs in the low 80s. Showers likely and possibly some thunderstorms at night.

MONDAY – AUG 25 – Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 8 a.m. then a chance of showers and thunderstorms, highs in the mid 80s.

TUESDAY – AUG 26 – Sunny, highs near 80.

WEDNESDAY – AUG 27 – Sunny, highs in the upper 70s.

THURSDAY – AUG 28 – Sunny, highs near 80.

FRIDAY – AUG 29 – Mostly sunny, highs near 80.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 11 a.m. this morning for high seas, winds will be southerly to 10 knots, seas 4-6 feet. There continues to be a high risk of dangerous rip currents. Belmar’s ocean temperature is 74 degrees.

OUTLOOK: No advisories expected Sunday through Wednesday.
