Skies are partly cloudy early on this Friday morning and temperatures are about 5 degrees warmer than this time yesterday with readings ranging from 60 in Clifton down to 52 at Sandyston and Basking Ridge. Winds are calm or light southwesterly. The air quality is good with an index of 42.

A weak cold front will move through the area today with only a slight chance of a shower. Skies will be mostly sunny with lower humidity by this afternoon as dew points fall into the comfortable 40s.

A very nice and pleasant Labor Day weekend is expected as high pressure builds from the west. There will be plenty of sunshine each day, low humidity and temperatures slightly below normal.

The dry pattern continues for Tuesday and Wednesday, again with plenty of sunshine both days with temperatures a little below normal.

A frontal system will give us a chance of showers on Thursday.
