Skies are mostly clear early on this Thursday morning and there is some patchy fog over inland areas. Temperatures range from 60 in Clifton down to 50 at Sandyston and Basking Ridge. Winds are calm or light southwesterly. The air quality is good with an index of 35.

High pressure offshore will give us a southerly flow of slightly warmer and more humid air today. It will be a little breezy this afternoon. A weak front will likely give us some showers later tonight.

The front will wash out on Friday and it will be a mostly sunny day with warm temperatures and higher humidity.

A stronger cold front will likely give us showers and possibly some thunderstorms Saturday afternoon and night with some showers lingering into Sunday morning.

High pressure will then build in from the northwest giving us much cooler and drier air Sunday afternoon that should continue through the middle of next week.

SUNDAY – SEP 7 – Chance of a morning shower then becoming partly sunny, cooler and less humid, highs in the mid 70s.

MONDAY – SEP 8 – Mostly sunny, highs in the mid 70s.

TUESDAY – SEP 9 – Sunny, highs in the mid 70s.
