Skies are clear early on this Saturday morning and with light winds there is a large spread in temperatures with readings ranging from 59 in Clifton down to 45 at Sandyston. Winds are calm or light northerly. The air quality is good with an index of 22.

Today will be a mostly sunny and cooler day as high pressure build into our area from eastern Canada. Winds will be light and the humidity will be low.

The high pressure will move off the Maine coast on Sunday giving us a light onshore wind and slightly cooler temperatures than today.

Monday will be not as cool as a warm front approaches our area, Skies will again be mostly sunny.

A slow moving cold front approaching our area will give us a chance of showers Tuesday and Wednesday along with warmer temperatures and somewhat higher humidity.

Cooler Thursday and Friday and at this point we should stay dry but a weak disturbance to our west will give us a slight chance of showers.

TONIGHT – Partly cloudy, lows in the low 50s.

SUNDAY – SEP 21 – Mostly sunny, highs in the low 70s.

MONDAY – SEP 22 – Mostly sunny, highs in the mid-upper 70s.

TUESDAY – SEP 23 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers after 2 p.m. warmer with highs in the low 80s.

WEDNESDAY – SEP 24 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers mainly after 2 p.m., highs near 80.

THURSDAY – SEP 25 – Partly sunny and cooler, highs in the low 70s.

FRIDAY – SEP 26 – Partly sunny, highs in the mid 70s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 a.m. Sunday morning for easterly winds gusting to 25 knots, seas 3-4 feet.

OUTLOOK: Advisories expected to continue Sunday through the day on Monday for higher seas; no advisories expected Monday night through Thursday.
