CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR SEPTEMBER 21ST:

AVERAGE HIGH: 74 AVERAGE LOW 55

RECORD HIGH: 88 – 1980 RECORD LOW: 40 – 1991

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 76 LOW: 58 PRECIPITATION: NONE

High pressure extending from Quebec to our area will give us a light onshore flow of cool air. High temperatures will be in the low 70s with continued low humidity.

Monday as the high pressure moves offshore a warm front is expected to move through at night but it should remain dry. Temperatures and humidity will be slightly higher than today.

Tuesday will be a warm and humid summerlike day ahead of a cold front. Temperatures will be in the 80s and dew points will rise to the mid to upper 60s. There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and at night.

A cold front will cross the area on Wednesday but not move too far south. We will have a chance of showers each day as weak areas of low pressure move along the front. Temperatures will be near normal. We do need the rain since today it is two full weeks without measurable precipitation.
