Skies are mostly clear early on this Monday morning and temperatures range from 52 in Clifton down to 45 at Basking Ridge. Winds are calm or light northerly. The air quality is good with an index of 38.

High pressure is moving off the coast today and we will have a light southerly flow of milder air as autumn begins at 2:19 p.m.

Tuesday will be a summerlike day with warm temperatures and higher humidity. There will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. as a cold front approaches our area.

The front will move to our south Wednesday morning and we will have unsettled weather as weak low pressure areas move along the front. There will be a good chance of showers Wednesday through Friday with a lesser chance on Saturday. Temperatures through this period will be slightly above average.
