Skies are mostly clear early on this Thursday morning and temperatures are about 10 degrees cooler than yesterday but normal for this time of year. Readings range from 45 in Clifton down to 36 at Pequest and High Point. Winds are calm or light northwesterly. The air quality is good with an index of 20.

A strong Canadian high pressure north of the Great Lakes will give us a brisk northerly flow of cool air today despite plenty of sunshine.
The high will move closer to our area on Friday and we will continue to have mostly sunny and cool weather but with less wind than today.
The high will move off the coast over the weekend giving us milder temperatures. Saturday will be dry but there will be a chance of showers Sunday afternoon and evening as a cold front approaches our area.
Showers will be likely on Monday as the front moves through
A weak high pressure will give us dry conditions on Tuesday with near normal temperatures.
Another weaker front may cause some showers Tuesday night into Wednesday. Temperatures again will be near normal.

MONDAY – OCT 20 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, highs in the mid 60s.
TUESDAY – OCT 21 – Mostly sunny, highs in the upper 60s. Chance of showers at night.
WEDNESDAY – OCT 22 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers, highs in the mid 60s.
MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. Friday evening for north-northwest winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 3-7 feet.
