Skies are mostly clear at 4:30 a.m Eastern Standard Time and temperatures are chilly with some patchy frost in some areas. Readings range from 39 in Clifton down to 28 at Pequest, Hackettstown and Sandyston. Winds are mainly calm. The air quality is moderate with an index of 62.

High pressure over us will give us a mostly sunny day, high temperatures will be similar to yesterday but with much less wind it will be a more comfortable day.

A weak low pressure system well to our south and east may brush us with some light rain on Monday along with more wind.

Tuesday looks to be dry and mild but still breezy as high pressure builds of the area.

Wednesday will be dry and mild during the day but a weak front may cause some showers at night.

Cooler but dry Thursday through the day on Friday but a stronger low pressure system will give us a better chance of rain Friday night into Saturday.

This October the average temperature was 57.4 degrees which is slightly above normal. The highest temperature was 88 degrees on the 5th, while the coolest reading was 40 set on the 27th and 28th. Precipitation totaled 4.49″ which was slightly above normal with the highest rainfall was 1.93″ on the 30th.
