Sunny, windy and much cooler today! Not as cool but becoming breezy again on Friday with showers likely late at night! Mild weather for the weekend with rain likely on Sunday! Coldest weather of the season expected early next week!

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Thursday morning and temperatures range from 45 in Clifton down to 37 at High Point. Winds are gusty out of the west-northwest with speeds around 35 mph. The air quality is good with an index of 27.

A cold front came through our area last night followed by a strong west-northwest wind. Today winds will continue to gust to over 35 mph at times but diminish by late this afternoon. Skies will be sunny and it will be much cooler than yesterday.

Friday will be milder after a frosty morning. Southerly winds will pick up and be gusty in the afternoon and at night. A frontal system will likely give us showers late at night.

The weekend will be mild but another frontal system will likely give us rain on Sunday.

The coldest air of the season is expected for Monday and Tuesday with highs only in the 40s. Early Tuesday morning temperatures should fall below freezing over our entire area.

Dry and not quite as cool on Wednesday.

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy with diminishing winds, lows in the mid 30s. Chance of patchy frost.

FRIDAY – NOV 7 – Chance of patchy frost in the early morning then partly sunny breezy and milder, highs near 60.

SATURDAY – NOV 8 – Mostly sunny and mild, highs in the upper 60s.

SUNDAY – NOV 9 – Mostly cloudy with rain likely, highs in the low 60s.

MONDAY – NOV 10 – Mostly sunny and much cooler, highs in the upper 40s.

VETERANS DAY – NOV 11 – Mostly sunny and cool, highs in the mid 40s.

WEDNESDAY – NOV 12 – Partly sunny, highs in the low 50s.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – Small craft advisory will be in effect with northwest winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 2-3 feet.

OUTLOOK: Advisories expected again on Friday with possible gales; advisories likely to continued through much of the weekend.
