The combination of a storm off the Canadian Maritimes along with high pressure over the Ohio Valley will give us a brisk northwest flow of very cold air. High temperatures will struggle to reach the 30 degree mark and with winds gusting to 25 mph will make it feel even colder. Winds will diminish by this evening.
As the Arctic high moves closer to our area on Tuesday temperatures will still be rather cold but with much less wind.
The high will move offshore and we will have more of a southwesterly flow of milder air for Wednesday and Thursday.
A strong frontal system will give us rain Thursday night into early Friday followed by colder weather for Friday night into Saturday although it should not be as cold as we are having now.
Sunday should be dry and milder.
