Partly sunny quite windy and cold today! Continued cold and breezy on Wednesday with a chance of snow showers at night! Mainly dry and cold New Year’s Day through the weekend! Low chance of light snow on Monday!

Good morning everyone!

Skies are mostly cloudy to cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures range from 28 in Clifton down to 20 at High Point. Winds are gusty out of the west with some gusts over 40 mph. The air quality is good with an index of 28.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR DECEMBER 30TH:

AVERAGE HIGH: 38 AVERAGE LOW: 21

RECORD HIGH: 66 – 2022 RECORD LOW: 2 -1987

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 45 LOW 29 PRECIPITATION: .44″

A strong low pressure over eastern parts of Canada along with high pressure building from the west will give us a strong westerly flow of quite cold air today. Winds will gust to near 45 mph and a wind advisory continues in effect. We should have partly sunny skies.

Wednesday will still be breezy as the Canadian low pressure moves slowly away. Winds will gust to around 25 mph. A weak cold front may cause some light snow Wednesday night with accumulations from a dusting to maybe 1/2″.

Continued quite cold New Year’s Day through the weekend and we should remain dry but with less wind.

A weak clipper system may touch off some light snow on Monday.
