Skies are mostly clear early on this Friday morning and temperatures are more than 20 degrees colder than this time yesterday with readings ranging from 19 in Clifton down to 10 at High Point. Winds are gusty out of the west. The air quality is good with an index of 24.

High pressure building into the area today will give us a sunny day, it will be windy through early this afternoon with some gusts over 30 mph. The winds will diminish by late this afternoon.
A weak disturbance will likely give us light snow from after midnight tonight through Saturday afternoon, the snow may mix with rain before ending. Accumulations should be around an inch.
It now appears that the coastal low will be too far to our east to give us a significant snowstorm on Sunday with only a slight (20%) chance of some snow.
Dry and quite cold much if not all of next week with Tuesday and Wednesday being the coldest days with highs in the 20s and overnight lows in the single digits to the teens.

TODAY – JAN 16 – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 30s, wind gusts to 32 mph diminishing by late this afternoon.
TONIGHT – Increasing clouds with a chance of light snow after midnight, lows steady in the low 30s.
SATURDAY – JAN 17 – Light snow likely in the morning possibly mixing with or changing to rain before ending in the afternoon, highs in the upper 30s, Possible accumulations of around an inch.
SUNDAY – JAN 18 – Mostly cloudy with only a slight chance of snow, highs in the mid 30s.
M.L.KING DAY – JAN 19 – Mostly sunny, highs in the low 30s.
TUESDAY – JAN 20 – Sunny and very cold, highs only in the low 20s.
