Rain developing this morning possibly beginning as a mixture of freezing rain and sleet inland, precipitation ending later this afternoon! Dry and milder on Saturday! Coastal storm will likely give us snow Sunday into Monday! Dry and seasonably cold on Tuesday! Milder towards the end of next week with rain likely Wednesday afternoon through Thursday!

Good morning everyone!

Skies are cloudy early on this Friday morning and temperatures range from 33 in Clifton down to 27 at High Point. Winds are light from the east. The air quality is good with an index of 26.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR FEBRUARY 20TH:

AVERAGE HIGH: 41 AVERAGE LOW: 25

RECORD HIGH: 68 – 2018 RECORD LOW: -2 – 2015

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 41 LOW: 34 PRECIPITATION: NONE

A low pressure system moving through our area will cause rain that should begin around sunrise and end by later this afternoon. The precipitation may start off as a mixture of freezing rain and sleet further inland. Rainfall amounts should be near a half of an inch.

Saturday looks to be dry and milder as weak high pressure builds into the area.

Snow is now likely from a developing coastal storm on Sunday. Still there is a question how close the storm will be to our area. The snow should begin around dawn on Sunday then taper off to snow showers on Monday. My best guess of snow amounts will be between 3-6 inches.

Tuesday should be dry and seasonably cold as weak high pressure builds into the area.

Milder at the end of next week with rain likely Wednesday afternoon through the day on Thursday as another low pressure system moves through our area.
