Mostly cloudy, warm and humid today with showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm! Much cooler on Thursday along with still a chance of rain! Warmer and mainly dry on Friday! Warm over the weekend with a chance of showers on Saturday with showers more likely for Sunday! Dry and cooler early next week!


Good morning everyone and Happy April Fool’s Day!

Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and early morning temperatures are more like the middle of summer with readings ranging from 69 in Clifton down to 62 at Hackettstown. Winds are from the southwest averaging around 10 mph. The air quality is good with an index of 43.

A southwest flow of unseasonably mild air will continue through the day today and we will likely have a few scattered showers with a possible thunderstorm this afternoon and evening ahead of a back door cold front that is expected to cross our area late tonight.

Much cooler on Thursday with an onshore flow along with a chance of light rain, daytime highs will only be in the 40s to near 50.

The front will return as a warm front on Friday, there will be a chance of drizzle in the morning then becoming partly sunny by the afternoon.

Warm weather is expected for the weekend as we have a southwest flow from the high pressure ridge offshore. There will be a chance of showers on Saturday but showers are more likely on Sunday as a rather strong cold front crosses our area.

Dry and seasonably cool weather early next week!

SATURDAY – APR 4 – Partly sunny with a chance of an afternoon and evening shower, highs in the upper 70s.

SUNDAY – APR 5 – Mostly cloudy with showers likely, highs near 70.

MONDAY – APR 6 – Mostly sunny and cooler, highs in the upper 50s.

TUESDAY – APR 7 – Partly sunny, highs in the mid 50s.
