Skies are mainly cloudy early on this Sunday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 41 in Clifton down to 35 at Walpack. Winds are mainly calm.

A warm front will move north of our area this morning accompanied by some showers mainly from 9 a.m. till noon and followed by a brisk southwesterly flow of unseasonably warm air with temperatures rising to near 70 degrees.

Unseasonably mild again on Monday with brisk southwesterly flow. A cold front will cross the area Monday evening with more showers likely mainly late in the day and evening.

Cooler and dry on Tuesday as high pressure moves into our area.

A weak low pressure area will again give us a chance of showers on Wednesday with near seasonable temperatures.

After a dry Thursday showers again are possible Friday into Saturday with much cooler temperatures for next Sunday.

THE FORECAST:

TODAY – MAR 6 – Mostly cloudy with showers between 9 a.m. till noon then becoming windy and unseasonably warm with highs near 70. Wind gusts to 35 mph possible.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy and quite mild, low in the low 50s.

MONDAY – MAR 7 – Mostly cloudy, breezy and continued unseasonably warm with highs in the low 70s. Showers likely late in the afternoon into the evening. Wind gusts to 30 mph possible.

TUESDAY – MAR 8 – Mostly sunny and much cooler, high near 50.

WEDNESDAY – MAR 9 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, high in the upper 40s.

THURSDAY – MAR 10 – Mostly sunny, high near 50.

FRIDAY – MAR 11 – Cloudy with a chance of showers, high in the low 50s.

SATURDAY – MAR 12 – Mostly cloudy with showers likely in the morning then becoming partly sunny in the afternoon, high in the upper 40s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. Monday evening for southwest winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 5-8 feet.

OUTLOOK – Advisories likely to continue Monday night through Tuesday; no advisories expected for Wednesday and Thursday.
