Skies are partly cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 39 degrees here in Clifton down to 30 at High Point. Winds are still gusty out of the northwest.

After the record breaking warmth the last two days, today will be much cooler and be around normal for this time of year. Gusty winds this morning will diminish by late morning. Skies will be partly to mostly sunny.
A storm system will move into our area on Wednesday with snow developing around daybreak and mixing with rain by late morning. Accumulations here in Clifton will be around 1 inch mostly on colder surfaces but higher amounts are possible across higher elevations to our north and west.
Quiet weather with slightly above normal temperatures Thursday and Friday.
A strong frontal system will give us rain on Saturday that may change briefly to snow before ending Saturday night.
Sunday will be a sunny but windy and cold day.
Dry weather is expected early next week with milder temperatures.

SATURDAY – MAR 12 – Rain possibly changing to snow before ending at night, becoming windy, high near 50.
SUNDAY – MAR 13 – Sunny, windy and chilly, high near 40.
MONDAY – MAR 14 – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 50s.
MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 1 p.m. this afternoon for northwest winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 4-7 feet.
OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Wednesday through the day on Friday; advisories expected on Saturday with frequent gale gusts.
