Skies are partly cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 46 in Clifton down to 37 at Vernon. Winds are a little gusty out of the northwest.

The low pressure system that gave us the light rain overnight is now moving in the Gulf of Maine and in combination with high pressure building from the Great Lakes will give us a brisk northwest flow of chilly air. Skies will start off mostly sunny but some instability clouds will be over the area this afternoon with only a slight chance of sprinkles.

Dry weather but continued chilly Thursday and Friday with gusty winds on Thursday diminishing on Friday

Weather for the weekend looks quite pleasant with plenty of sunshine both days with moderating temperatures.

Mild early next week with a chance of showers.

TONIGHT – Mostly clear, low in the upper 30s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. Thursday evening for northwest winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 3-5 feet.

OUTLOOK – Advisories expected to continue Thursday night; no advisories expected Friday through Sunday.
