Cloudy and milder Friday with some light precipitation. Very mild with heavy rain on Saturday!


Temperatures this morning are in the mid 20s with cloudy skies.  Some flurries have been reported in our area, however about an inch of snow has occurred across the Poconos and Orange county.

Today we will have continued cloudy skies with a chance of light snow mixed with freezing rain this morning, changing to light rain this afternoon as temperatures rise to near 40.

A storm system will be moving into the area on Saturday with rain most of the day and night with 1-2 inches expected, strong southerly winds will boast temperatures to near the 60 degree mark.

We dry out on Sunday, highs will be in the upper 40s with a brisk wind.

Monday will be dry and mild.

Another storm system will give us another chance of rain on Tuesday with continued mild temperatures.

Cooler on Wednesday and Thursday with only a slight chance of any precipitation.

 

The forecast: Today – Chance of light snow mixed with freezing rain this morning and a chance of light rain this afternoon, high near 40.

Tonight – Cloudy with rain mainly after midnight, low in the upper 30s.

Saturday – Rain, heavy at times, 1-2″ expected, high in the upper 50s, rain ending late at night.

Sunday – Mostly sunny, breezy, high in the upper 40s.

Monday – Partly sunny, high in the low 50s.

Tuesday – Cloudy with a chance of rain, high near 50.

Wednesday – Partly sunny, high in the low 40s.

Thursday – Mostly sunny, high near 40.

 

Marine Forecast: Today – South wind to 10 knots seas 2 feet.

Outlook – Gale watch issued for Saturday afternoon through Saturday night.

Small craft advisory likely on Sunday and possibly continuing into early next week.
