With clear skies temperatures have fallen to the upper 20s in our are early this morning.

Today will be much colder than the 50s we had yesterday, skies will start off clear with increasing cloudiness this afternoon, temperatures will only rise to the mid 30s, well below normal for this time of year.

The storm system that we have been following looks like it will miss us to our south as a strong high pressure (or is it the shower curtain) will prevent most if not all the precipitation to remain just to our south, while Southern New Jersey may pick up a couple inches of snow we will be lucky to have a couple of flurries, temperatures will remain well below normal.

Clearing and not quite as cold on Tuesday.

Moderating trend Wednesday through Saturday with chances of rain showers Wednesday afternoon into Thursday morning and  again on Saturday.

 

The forecast: Today – Mostly sunny in the morning, increasing clouds this afternoon, much colder with highs only in the mid 30s.

Tonight – Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of flurries after 3am, low in the upper teens.

Monday – Mostly cloudy with a  slight chance of morning flurries, high in the mid 30s.

Tuesday – Mostly sunny, high in the low 40s.

Wednesday – Partly sunny with a chance of afternoon rain showers, high in the mid 40s.

Thursday – Partly sunny, chance of morning rain showers, high in the low 50s.

Friday – Mostly sunny, high in the mid  50s.

Saturday – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, high in the mid 50s.

 

Marine Forecast: Today – Northwest winds gusting to 20 knots, seas 2 feet.

Gale warning in effect from this evening to Monday morning.

Outlook:  Small craft advisories possible Monday afternoon through Tuesday morning for winds and seas and remain possible for high seas later Tuesday through Thursday.
