Good morning everyone!

Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and it is unseasonably mild with temperatures more like a summer morning with readings ranging from 67 in Clifton down to 59 at High Point. Winds are light from the southwest. The air quality is moderate with an index of 59.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR APRIL 30TH:

AVERAGE HIGH: 65 AVERAGE LOW: 47

RECORD HIGH: 84 – 1974 RECORD LOW: 33 – 1992

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 81 LOW: 55 PRECIPITATION: NONE

A cold front will come through dry this morning, northwest winds behind the front will give us a somewhat cooler day today but it will be much less humid as dew points in the upper 50s now will fall to the low 30s by this afternoon. Skies will become mostly sunny as high pressure builds from the Great Lakes.

The high pressure will move off the coast on Thursday and we should have an onshore flow of cooler air. A warm front may cause some showers at night.

Very warm and increasingly humid on Friday as the warm front moves to our north followed by a cold front that should move into our area at night. There will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms.

With the front in our area on Saturday showers will be likely with seasonably mild temperatures.

Unsettled weather Sunday through Tuesday as some models have an upper low just off the coast. The European model is quite wet over this period while the GFS has the low further offshore giving us only a chance of showers during this period.
