Skies are mostly clear early on this Monday morning and temperatures range from 55 in Clifton down to 47 at High Point. Winds are still gusty out of the northwest. The air quality is good with an index of 20.

Low pressure off the Maine coast along with high pressure building from the northwest will combine and give us a brisk northwest flow of dry air. Wind gusts to 35 mph are possible. With sunny skies high temperatures will be near normal.
Lighter winds on Tuesday but we will see an increase in clouds as a low pressure system approaches from the west.
The low pressure will be in our area Wednesday and Thursday giving us periods of rain with cool temperatures. Rainfall amounts will average between 1 and 1 1/2″ High temperatures both days will be only in the 50s.
The upper low will still give us considerable cloudiness Friday into Saturday along with a chance of showers. High temperatures will not be as chilly.
High pressure will then build into the area for Sunday and on Memorial Day giving us dry conditions and slowly moderating temperatures.

TONIGHT – Clear and breezy, lows in the upper 40s, wind gusts to 29 mph.
TUESDAY – MAY 20 – Increasing cloudiness, highs near 70.
WEDNESDAY – MAY 21 – Periods of rain and cool, highs in the upper 50s.
THURSDAY – MAY 22 – Showers and cool, highs in the mid 50s.
FRIDAY – MAY 23 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, highs in the low 60s.
SATURDAY – MAY 24 – Partly sunny with still a chance of a shower, highs in the upper 60s.
SUNDAY – MAY 25 – Partly sunny, highs in the low 70s.
MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. this evening for northwest winds gusting to 25 knots, seas 3-5 feet.
OUTLOOK: No advisories expected for Tuesday; advisories expected Wednesday through Friday with gales possible late Wednesday into Wednesday night.
