Hot and humid Thursday and Friday with more showers and thunderstorms likely! Not quite as warm or humid on the weekend, Saturday should be dry but more showers are possible on Sunday!

Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Monday morning and there are some showers falling in parts of the area. It is another warm and muggy early morning with temperatures ranging from 74 in Clifton down to 67 at High Point. Winds are calm or light southerly. The air quality is good with an index of 33.

Today will be a mostly cloudy day and showers and thunderstorms are expected as a weak front approaches from the west. With tropical air in place some of the rain will be quite heavy at times with possible rain rate of 2 inches per hour. Total rainfall will average 1-3 inches with some higher amounts up to 5 inches in some places. A flood watch is in effect.

Tuesday and Wednesday will continue to be warm and very humid with still a chance of mainly afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms. The probably of showers will be around 50%.

Hot and humid weather is expected for Thursday and Friday as the Bermuda high pressure dominates the weather. Some showers and thunderstorms will be likely especially on Thursday.

The weekend weather looks less hot but staying humid. Saturday at this point looks to be dry but more showers are possible on Sunday as another weak front approaches our area.
