Skies are mainly cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and once again it is quite warm and muggy with temperatures ranging from 76 in Clifton down to 71 at Hackettstown and Sandyston. Winds are light from the southwest. The air quality is moderate with an index of 54.

High pressure will be moving off the coast today as a cold front approaches from the west. There will only be a low chance of a morning shower then it will become partly sunny, hot and humid today. It now looks like the front will come through dry with only a slight chance of a shower. High temperatures will reach the mid 90s and with dew points in the 70s will cause heat indexes to rise over 100 degrees once again.
Finally some relief from having several days of heat and humidity as high pressure builds from the northwest. Tomorrow and Saturday will be cooler and much less humid as dew points drop to the more comfortable 50s.
Another frontal system will give us a chance of showers and thunderstorms on Sunday with higher humidity.
Another high pressure will then build into the area for the middle of next week giving us plenty of sunshine all three days with seasonably warm temperatures and lower humidity.

MONDAY – JULY 21 – Sunny and less humid, highs in the mid 80s.
TUESDAY – JULY 22 – Mostly sunny, highs in the mid 80s.
WEDNESDAY – JULY 23 – Mostly sunny, highs in the upper 80s.
