Skies are mainly overcast early on this Saturday morning and temperatures are more than ten degrees warmer than this time yesterday with readings ranging from 54 in Clifton down to 46 at Sandyston. Winds are mainly calm. The air quality is good with an index of 50.

High pressure is moving off the coast and today will be a mostly cloudy day with near normal temperatures. A strong coastal storm will be slowly moving up the coast which will give us a good chance of showers tonight.
The storm will give us rain possibly heavy at times Sunday and Monday along with strong gusty northeast winds. Wind gusts to 35 mph are likely in the Clifton area but up to 60 mph along the New Jersey coast. Rainfall amounts will average between 2-3 inches. Moderate to major coastal flooding is likely.
The storm will move away on Tuesday with still a chance of early morning rain followed by clearing.
Dry weather Wednesday through Friday, temperatures will be near normal on Wednesday then below normal for Thursday and Friday.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY- A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. this evening for easterly winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 4-7 feet.
OUTLOOK: A storm warning will be in effect from 6 p.m. this evening through 8 p.m. Monday night; gales still possible on Tuesday; advisories possible for high seas on Wednesday.
