Skies are mostly clear early on this Thursday morning and temperatures are once again unseasonably cold with readings ranging from 9 above in Clifton down to a frigid 15 below at Lafayette. Winds are calm or light westerly. The air quality is good with an index of 19.

Arctic high pressure today will give us a mostly sunny day but once again it will be very cold with highs only in the low 20s, winds will be a little lighter than yesterday.
Extremely cold Friday and Saturday as Arctic high pressure continues to dominate. Early morning lows Friday and Saturday will be well down into the single digits in Clifton with below zero readings further inland.
A very strong coastal low will be moving up the coast on Sunday, present indications that it will just graze us with light snow but if it shifts further to the west then we will have significant snow. Regardless of the track it will be very windy especially along the coast where some coastal flooding is likely.
Mainly dry weather Monday through Wednesday, temperatures will continue to be below normal but not as frigid as we are experiencing now.

MONDAY – FEB 2 – Mostly sunny, highs in the low 30s.
TUESDAY – FEB 3- Mostly sunny, highs in the mid 30s.
WEDNESDAY – FEB 4 – Mostly sunny, highs in the low 30s.
MARINE FORECAST A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 a.m. Friday morning for west-northwest winds gusting to 25 knots, seas 2-3 feet. Also a freezing spray advisory is in effect until 6 a.m. Friday morning.
OUTLOOK: No advisories expected the rest of Friday through the day on Saturday; gale to possibly storm force winds on Sunday; gales early Monday then small craft advisories the rest of the day.
