Weak high pressure will give us a very pleasant day today with mild temperatures and light winds. A good day to prepare for the upcoming storm.

What a change in the forecast from yesterday when I called for only 3-6 inches of snow. Now the very strong coastal storm will move closer to our area which will give us strong winds and heavy snow with blizzard like conditions likely. At this time I am forecasting 12-18 inches of snow along with wind gusts to 45 mph The snow will develop Sunday morning and become heavy at times Sunday night before tapering off Monday afternoon.

High pressure will then build into the area on Tuesday giving us a dry day with below normal temperatures.

Milder Wednesday through the end of the week with chances of rain as a couple of disturbances move through our area.
